Burning daylight

Hello, and Happy New Year!

Inspired by my dad reminding me that 2025 is a perfect square (45², and I hope to live for the next one), I would also like to remind you it's the product of 2 squares (9² x 5²) and the sum of 3 squares (40² + 20² + 5²).

For most of the week I was away, returning last night, but I spent this afternoon on the boat (in flow which felt great), permanently fitting the bathroom plumbing:

And then starting on the tiling boards, which feel surprisingly light:

I'd been procrastinating on those, thinking they're not ready, which is true but going ahead anyway helps reveal the hidden dependencies (I've never done this before and don't know what I'm doing).

For the rest of the day I've done some much-needed planning, figuring out what's next and which items I need.
