Deadline tourism
Hello! Happy Sunday :) I am and have been in Budapest this weekend, which was a great mini deadline to get shit done.
Monday I dropped off the stove for sand-blasting and bolted the worktops together, then on Tuesday sanded them down for oiling with a helping hand from the broski:

He's a dapper sander. And then oil!

That was the first coat, by roller, and on Wednesday I did the second and final one with a rag. I also forgot isolation valves for the tap and washing machine, which I fitted:

Pressurised without leaks!
On Thursday I picked up the stove, which I'm thrilled with:

I removed some of the old bolts then started painting it, and I've honestly missed the smell of xylene, it's good shit.

Next up were the kitchen handles, sealing the sink and connecting the fridges. It's vibey!

And on Friday morning before heading off, I stopped by Calcutt Boats to get replacement fuel lines. There was nothing pre-made available, so they did them while I waited:

My 3-month BSS grace period ends on Friday, and that was my albatross, but all I have to do now is fit them and send off some photos.
And today we went on the M1 metro, the oldest line in mainland Europe, to the oldest station on the continent, Vörösmarty Ter (London was earlier). Here's me by the entrance :D

Until next Sunday!
