Sub-quests
Hello! And happy March :)
It's been 3 weeks since I last boated, and through every fault of my own there was meant to be a couple of days last week as well, but instead I'm heading back for a long Easter weekend. Since then I've deepened my church bell addiction, starting to ring "methods."
The current task is still the wardrobe, and I finished the varnishing after routing the lighting grooves:

And a test fit!

I'm so incredibly excited to open the door for the first time and have it BEAM. It'll be glorious. It was a mission finding out what lights to get, and at what luminosity... it's a different set of constraints to ambient room lighting. There were pre-made joinery strips for $$$, but ehh so I went with thin-ish 4000K high-CRI LEDs, and a silicone diffuser on top. And of course it'll be automatic, when either door opens.
Then eestate blue door painting, to match the chest of drawers and skirting boards:

I have one more coat to do, and then assembly... I absolutely love sub-quests.
Until next month!
